Who the Hell Is This Murphy and Can I Please Kick His Ass?

This week has made us wonder if we have exceptionally bad luck or if we just make exceptionally bad choices. Evidence:

1.) There are currently two huge water marks on our kitchen ceiling. For reasons unknown to us, our upstairs neighbors are unable to simply run their water a couple times a day. So, in addition to a water bill that often exceeds 3k, we also have the pleasure of occassionally getting their water in through our ceiling. The good news is he is a contractor and can fix it, the bad news is it is REALLY ANNOYING.

2.) We left our car in R's work parking lot last weekend because he bikes to work. Monday mornig, R got a lovely surprise: someone had smashed the driver side window with a rock. But just smashing the window was not enough. They also threw the cinder block against the side of the car, denting it significantly.

3.) Our other (new to us) car. It's a lemon. We have taken it into the dealership more than four times for the same issue. But we missed the lemon law by 15 days. Lovely.

WTF? While I realize none of these things is cancer, I am mighty sick of EVERYTHING going wrong. Just when we think we have a handle on things and can start saving money, suddenly this stuff happens and we are drained again. Can someone please tell us that this happens to everyoner?

It does - trust me. Just remember, things can only get better. Sorry about the car (and Rob's) - that's awful! You must be beside yourself. Call if you need to vent, I'm always here.

Oh wow. I'm so sorry all this is happening to you, and how horrible about Rob's car. People are disgusting. If it makes you feel any better, we just had to spend $600 on new tires for Rich's car, so I can sympathize with wanting to save $$ and being unable to.

Murphy is an equal opportunity jerk. I promise it's not just you.

Still that sucks.
