A Good Laugh for the Day

I feel much better about my bad day yesterday after seeing this
and this.

The story: two college co-eds are complaining that the older (apparently uglier) flight attendants would not bring them water because they were "too pretty." Says one, "“I think they were just discriminating against because we were young decent-looking girls. I mean, nobody else on the plane looked like us except us." That's deep. They are all alone these two girls. How existential.

Now ordinarily I would not be this mean (who am I kidding?) but in this case, I feel these women brought this upon themselves. Note how the camera on the CNN piece pans the woman's entire body, as if to say, "too ugly to fly? That would be easier to believe."

After all, how does Bar Rafaeli get back and forth to Israel? Giselle to Brazil? Laetitia Casta to Franc? They FLY. And not always on private jets. Yes, pretty girls are allowed to fly. But conceited, obnoxious women in denial may have to be grounded.

So glad to see that someone else had the same reaction to this story as I did! Then again, I always thought I was just unlucky in getting flights with rude attendants...turns out I too, might be too pretty to fly! Amtrak here I come! :)
